CARE INSTRUCTIONS

All Aroma30 items can be cleaned by a professional dry-cleaner, but in case dry-cleaning is not specified as the only washing method allowed in the istructions and you wanted to do it yourself, please avoid washing machine at high temperatures and give some extra care to your favourite items. This care will help you in keeping them in great conditions for years.

HAND WASH

Hand-wash the garment in clean water at approximately 30°C with a mild detergent. Allow to soak for 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly firstly in lukewarm water, then in cold water. If there are stains, gently remove them with a gentle solid soap before proceeding with the washing of the item. Once washed, DON'T SQUEEZE the item. You can remove water excess by wrapping the item in a light color dry towel and gently press the water out of it.

MACHINE WASH

Mashine wash is not recommended for silk, cashmere, lace and delicate items in general. You can use it safely for washing jersey, cotton, some kind of wool and synthetic fibers by choosing a temperature of 30°/40°C and a cycle for wool or delicates. It is highy recommended that the garment is laundered inside-out. This will protect the garment's outer surface and help to maintain it as new for longer.

*Important advices for washing

  • To avoid the possibility of any color transfer from one garment to another, do wash like colors together and never leave wet garments stacked up on one another, for example in a wash basket, for any lenght of time.

  • Final rinse softeners o conditioners can be used, but care should be taken to keep amount down to a minimum in order to avoid the formation of pills on the surface of the garments.

  • Always use laundry detergents and conditioners in small quantites as they are responsible of increasing pollution on seas, rivers and lakes water.

DRYING

Allow the garments to dry in the air naturally. In cases you needed to use tumble dry (although it's usually not recommended) choose a low heat setting or a setting for delicates.

Drying items on a hanger often reduces the need of ironing, but make sure to avoid it for sweaters or heavy items as it may lead to the garment stretching in lenght or cause distorsions on the appearance of the shoulders section.

For the same reasons, make sure to always dry the sweaters flat on a surface (ideally on a light colour towel).

Avoid placing wet garments over a radiation to dry, as the heat can damage the fibers of the garment.

IRONING

Whether your garment requires ironing after washing and drying will depend on the number of creases present and the overall appearance.

If you need to iron the garment, take care of doing it on the reverse side of the fabric or using a thin cotton towel between the iron surface and the item. Set the iron on the medium-hot setting. Spray the garment with a litte water before applying the iron to the surface; alternatively whilst ironing use the steaming function to apply a bit of steam. This will make creases removal easier.

Never leave the iron to stand for any lenght of time on the garment as this can result in scorching. After ironing, lay the item flat for 5 minutes before folding for storage.

REMOVAL OF LINT, HAIR OR PILLS

Lint and hair can be easily removed on delicate garments with a sticky roller brush, while for heavy garments as wool coats or jacket it may be not as effective. In this case a comb or – even better- a thin layer of sandpaper can be used, but this should be done very gently to avoid damage on the fabric.

Pills on sweaters can be removed by hand if they are not too many. Alternatively, small battery devices known as “de-pillers” or “fabric shavers” are low cost and generally very effective at giving an “as new” appearance again.

STAIN REMOVAL

The key to successful stain removal is speed. When possible, stains should be treaten immediately. Apply a stain remover in small amount with a white tissue by using a gentle dabbing action (never rubbing otherwise this may result in a color change). Prior to applying the product, first test it on a small section inside the garments, such as a seam, to see the effect. After applying the stain remover, rinse the area with cold water then hand wash the garment.

In case of very stubborn stains, it is advisable to take the garment to a professional dry cleaner.
